KNEZO DESIGN STUDIO  Alex Knezo established Knezo Design Studio which focuses on graphic, product, and interior design projects as well as artistic endeavors. With KDS, design lies not only in the aesthetic appeal of an object, but also in the belief that it is to be uniquely experienced by each individual on a personal level. KDS desires to create distinct concepts which can be adapted to individual needs, offering variety in material, construction technique, costs, and customizability to provide products which satisfy the desires and requirements of each individual client.  ALEX KNEZO  Alex Knezo holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Civil Engineering with Architectural Focus from Princeton University (2009). Upon graduation, he relocated to Tokyo where he found the emphasis on design aesthetic and theory to be stronger than in other areas due to spatial limitations and cultural traditions which celebrate utilitarian and minimalistic elements as well as focus on the future of design.  After his experience interning at Shigeru Ban Architects in Tokyo (2007) and Steven Holl Architects in New York City (2008), he joined Noiz Architects in Tokyo. He worked there from 2009 until 2012 when he partnered with Akinori Hamada to create studio_01. In 2013 Knezo established Knezo Design Studio for his personal design work, but will also periodically collaborate with Hamada as studio_01. KNEZO DESIGN STUDIO  アレックス・ニゾは、グラフィック/プロダクト/インテリアデザインを中心としたプロジェクト、さらにはアーティストとしてのさまざまな試みを実現する場として、Knezo Design Studioを設立しました。KDSにおいては、デザインとは、作品としての美しさだけでなく、各個人のパーソナルなレベルでユニークな体験を与えられるものだという信念があります。KDSは、独自のコンセプトのもと、個々のクライアントが望み必要とする作品を創り出すために、さまざまな材料、建築技術、価格、カスタマイズ性を提案してきました。 ALEX KNEZO  アレックス・ニゾはプリンストン大学において、建築学を中心に都市工学を学び、2009年に工学学士を取得しています。そして彼が卒業後に移り住んだのは、東京でした。そこでは空間的制約や文化的伝統によりデザインの美学や理論がより強く存在し、実用主義やミニマリスト的要素を楽しみながら未来のデザインにも着目する風土がありました。 東京の坂茂建築設計事務所(2007年)やニューヨークのスティーブン・ホール建築設計事務所(2008年) でのインターンシップの後、彼は東京のノイズアーキテクツに2009年から2012年まで所属していました。2012年に浜田晶則氏とパートナーを組みstudio_01を設立。2013年には彼自身のデザインワークとしてKnezo Design Studioをスタートしました。それ以降も浜田氏とは定期的にstudio_01の名前でコラボレーションを続けていく予定です。    1987 ジョージア州アトランタ生まれ  2007 坂茂建築設計事務所 2008 スティーブン・ホール建築設計事務所 2009 プリンストン大学土木学科卒業 2009 ノイズアーキテクツ 2012 浜田晶則とstudio_01を設立 2013 Knezo Design Studioを設立    2013 "sora no kicho" - テキサス大学オースティン校、         CURTAINS 展示ファイナリスト  2012 "barcode room" - Able空間デザインコンペ,          Tokyo Designers Week 2012、グランプリ 2012 "dolphin house"  - 31st SD Review、         展示ファイナリスト  2012 "mildendo" - 東京都現代美術館ブルームバーグ         パヴィリオン、展示ファイナリスト 2009 Shanley Prize in Architecture ファイナリスト
